Im going through the same thing and ask myself that question every day!!! Even though my relationship so far is good and have already been married and divorced at 27!!!
I think in my case its to do with the fact I tried to grow up too quickly, always thought I knew it all and was probably very emotionally immature throughout my late teens early twenties...and only now am I coming to terms with this craziness!
I now try and live each day as it comes and not get too wrapped up in things.....saying that...I am still very insecure about relationships and am always asking mundane questions on YA that I should already know the answer to! lol

I don't know you so I can only guess:
You are not much older than 20 so maybe your emotions are still that of a 20 year old. Just because you are older does not mean that you act differently (now if you were 30 you might have other issues). Change your approach to things. Expect more from relationships for example and you will get more from them. If you don't like the way things are going, change your course of action and see what happens.

Happens at all ages, sweetheart...
I'm watching my parents have the relationship issues I see the kids at my school have, while me and my boy friend seem like we've been married for 30 years as far as relationship issues go...

If what you say is true, maybe you are just a late bloomer. I was. I spent my high school yahoos (pun) in university really. And it runs in my family. Could be as simple as that. That's my opinion. Cheers.
