The ancient Poland had been conquered and made part of the Austrian_Hungarian Empire in the 15th century, not sure of the dates, so was not an independent country during World War One. The Polish people in World War One would have fought in either the German or Austria-Hungarian Army as they were part of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire for the most part and a little was in Germany. The main body of there troops would have been involved in fighting the Russians on the Eastern front as that was the focus of the A-H military. Losses would be hard to say because they would have merged in as A-H causalities since they were not a separate army/military.

yes that is true.. we had already lost all of our land before the war started. Austria, Russia and Germany divided Poland into 3 parts and took them. Polish ppl had thought that if they will fight with those 3 countries then they will get some land in appriciation for the help in the war.

Poland was not a combatant nation in World War One. Nor was Polish soil invaded by Germany in that war. The bulk of the fighting in World War One was done on French soil.

I guess the polish were forced into action OR they were slaughtered - dont quite get what u mean by were there losses, but yes the polish lost quite a bit of men

I mean, like, they rode into battle on horsies with spears while the Germans rumbled in with a massive blitzkrieg of panzers and stukas and submachine guns - how do you not kill anything???
