Hi! Here are just a few possibilities as signatures can be misleading. What I suggest, as we have no idea what the era/style may be and/or the true name of your artist.. is to contact a reputable appraiser from an organization like the Appraisers Association of America, or their equivalent, or make an appointment with the painting department of a major museum if one is convenient, or perhaps, an established auction house that handles fine art. I hope that this helps and good luck!

There are art appraisers in this world but I don't know anything about the profession or how to find a reliable one, so if it were I, I'd get on the website of a (preferably nearby) university with a high quality art department and call the secretary of the art department; ask him/her if there is a faculty member there who can help you identify this picture, or if not, what should you do. Calling an art museum would be another alternative, but I'd go the university route first.
I don't know whether my paranoia is reasonable or not, but just in case, I think I wouldn't tell the secretary the specifics of the picture (only that you have a picture you'd like identified), and would share the actual details only with the actual professor. The professor may want to see the picture or may just refer you to a competent appraiser.
You probably have enough sense not to need to be told this, but don't carry the painting anywhere unless the professor or appraiser has asked you to, and then ask them how best to protect it from loss and getting messed up, along the way.

I'm just saying this, but there is not one fan base who is actually okay. I'll start with the BOTDF fans. It makes the case even worse because they're so bad it's unbelievable. How they dress, how they act, their obscene lyrics, how people think they're emo when it's literally impossible because they're more dubstep with very UNemotional lyrics. Their fan bae consists of a load of 13 year old wannabe emo scene girls who think they're so emo because they also like BVB. MCRarmy or whatever they call themselves - They all claim they've had depression and the band has saved them. I thought songs about hope gave you help instead of songs about depression and sadness? Listening to sad songs when you're already depressed doesn't make you any better. They will automatically think you're a JB fan because you don't like their music and they will say to the JB fans that 'at least we're not a a load of 13 year olds' in which case, the MCR fans are. BVBArmy - what the hell are they fighting for? I mean, they make no sense. BVB's style is unoriginal and they're just another copy of KISS. The fans consist of a load of wannabe emo scene girls too who think they play 'emo metal' or some s!it like that, y'know. Idiots (fan of Green Day) - fans of another bad band, their new songs are just pop. I can't even call them rock because of their beat and their pointless lyrics. They've turned out really bad, I even think they were very bad because of their first albums (the songs all sounded the same) and so on. They will also think their music is better than any others. Asking Alexandria and Bring Me The Horizon - I have just realized how CRAP their music is. I mean, when I was younger, yeah they were OK but I listened to a song the other day and I was like 'CRAAAAPPP'. Fans think they're hardcore and original. They also are very very close minded, they call us (people who like different types of music) close minded when they're the ones who ONLY listen to metalcore. Blink-182 fan bases, Blink-182 suck so bad. They are the type of people who think if you don't like Blink-182 you must reevaluate yourself or live. I'm sorry for the rant but the whole 'fan base' idea is just over the top. I am part of no fan base, even if I love the band that much (mainly because all the bands I like doesn't have a fan base?)
