Why don't you go to Wikipedia and try to find an article about the Titanic, the Mary Celeste, Pearl Harbor, famous ghosts, or a member of a royal family? You can even type the name of anybody famous (I'm thinking Rasputin) and there you'll find lots of information you can adapt to your needs.

An idea. Read one of the stories I suggested above or another you can think of and imagine you were there.
Think of the Titanic. Imagine you were traveling from the UK to NYC.
Who were you traveling with?
Why?
What were your plans in NYC?
What did you pack?
What did you usually do on a normal day on your trip?
What were you doing when the iceberg hit the boat?
What happened to the people you were traveling with?
And so on. I bet that if you follow some of these guidelines you'll get an A+.
