I just bought a computer with windows vista on it, but of course it isn't compatible with my wireless Internet

would it be better if i bought windows xp which i know is more compatible with everything or should i just buy another wireless card? which would be cheaper an better?

I assume you've already tried searching for drivers/firmware updates for your card? If not, THAT would be the cheapest/best solution.

You could try an online retailer such as newegg.com and see how well different cards work with Vista. They have many reviews for cards in various price ranges.
