Again, brands are a matter of opinion. Atomic develops a wide variety of skis for different styles and types of terrain / skiing. Fischer mainly does race skis. Does that make a difference? It's completely up to the individual skiing them to decide. Before you purchase demo several types and decide for yourself.

I prefer Fischer's slalom skis to Atomic's. The Fischers seem more agile and energetic, the Atomics were kind of dead and unresponsive. I haven't tried any other models from either brand though so it's hard to say which is better...and it's really a matter of personal preference anyway.

I prefer Fischer over Atomic. It really is a matter of preference. While the edge grip is almost better on Atomics, I feel a weird floating sensation on them that I don't feel on Fischers or Rossis. I'm a big fan of the Rossignol 9s. Favorite ski of all time.

I race on Fischers, but the atomics i've tried were really nice too. Both companies make high quality skis.

I didn't know "Ficsher" was a ski company. I'm surprised to find two people who use them.
