Find something that weighs 20 ounces and roughly compare them.

Check out nutritiondata.com to get an estimate of how many ounces of strawberries are in a cup and then measure out cups.

If you have a 10oz container of berries, then use two containers.

Use a regular bathroom scale to weigh out a little over a pound of strawberries.

You really only need an approximate measurement. A bit more or less is not going to matter. Put the berries in a plastic bag. Hold a can of soup (16oz) or another can closer to the weight you want. Put one in one hand and the berries in the bag in the other. You will be able to tell when the hands feel similar in weight.

A pint plastic milk bottle full of water weighs 20 oz. Try comparing that with the weight of the strawberries. I'm sure it doesn't need to be THAT accurate.
