There is this guy I've been interested in for a few months and for the past month and half or so, has expressed interest back. We hold hands, get kind of cuddly, hang out on weekends, have been on a couple dates, and went to a dance together.

But we're not officially dating.

Is it because he doesn't want to? He's kind of a shy kid, but he makes a lot of the first moves involving hand holding and asking on dates, so I feel like he'd be bold enough to confirm us as a couple. Should I bring it up with him? I'm afraid he'd think I was pushing it on him and being weird.

Yes I think you should bring it up. Just like you're waiting on him, he's probably waiting on you. Someone has to be the bold one. Go ahead tell him you want to know where things are headed.

Get a friend to come up to you and ask you, "Hi, is this your boy-friend?"

Then give an embarrassed smile, clear your throat and say, "Yes ... ummm ... I mean no ... " - then stare at his eyes and say - "He's a friend!"

And after she is gone, cry and say that it hurts you that he still does not consider you as a girl-friend!
