I want to apply Green Card for the US. Well, could an actuary satisfy the condition for EB2?

If I can, how many years of work does it require for applying EB2? Anyone knows? Please..

An alien may qualify as an employment-based second preference immigrant if the alien is a member of the professions holding an advanced degree or the equivalent. The alien must be the beneficiary of a petition approved by the Department of Homeland Security.

The classification includes: aliens who are "members of the professions holding advanced degrees or their equivalent" and aliens "who because of their exceptional ability in the sciences, arts, or business will substantially benefit the national economy, cultural, or educational interests or welfare of the United States."

You probably know more about the profession that I do, but isn't it true that most actuaries have Bachelor degrees?

"Advanced degree" means any U.S. academic or professional degree (or foreign equivalent degree) above that of baccalaureate. The definition of advanced degree can include a BA/BS plus 5 years of progressive experience in the specialty.

EB-2 petitions must generally be accompanied by an approved, individual labor certification from the Department of Labor on Form ETA-750.

That is exactly how the orderly process of immigrating to a country is supposed to take place. The definition of an immigrant is: "A person who leaves one country to settle permanently in another." Somehow that system has been corrupted and people try to jump the gun and circumvent the process of immigrating properly. EDIT: Now you would need a prospective employer to petition for one of you based upon some skill one of you possesses and which is in short supply in the U.S.
