Have there been tests to see if there is any brain damage at all? I participated in a psychology research study earlier this year. It was only single-pulse TMS in this experiment, NOT repetitive.

Yes - There is no serious side effect for the brain in having TMS. It can be taken s SAFE. There are very few side effects from using transcranial magnetic therapy. Generally, patients using this therapy find That it either works for them or it does not. Patients using transcranial magnetic stimulation for the treatment of depression reported mild headache as their only side effect.

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a procedure that involves sending tightly focused magnetic pulses into the brain in order to stimulate brain circuits without surgery. Research is currently focusing on the use of rTMS as a means of improving stroke-related language impairments such as nonfluent aphasia.-
