what does everyone on here think of this situation?
If someone has a bf/gf of a lonnng time, and decides
to hook up with one of their friends--and they start
doing it almost everytime they see each other, and become
cuddle buddies too. but the bf/gf didnt tell their significant
other, do you consider that a "friends with benefits" type thing,
or just a cheating thing? or both? idk what to tell the person?

If your agreement with your bf/gf is not to "hook up" with anyone else and you do, then you are cheating...no matter how you want to look at it. You have violated your agreement with that person. If, however, you do not have such an exclusivity clause in your original relationship (or even an unspoken, assumed one) then you are not cheating. If you are the one being hooked up with, then you are potentially violating the trust of your friend, which is not very cool at all. As to what to tell the person (the bf/gf or the friend with bennies) you need to come clean somehow, or your future relationship(s) will suffer.

It's both, and it's a "nightmare" sort of thing. Is this what you want for yourself? Life's relatively simple at your level right now...(it's certainly not going to get any simpler), so why is it so hard to deal honestly with the few commitments you have now? Don't learn bad habits now that'll be hard to unlearn later on. If you don't like your boyfriend, drop him, but don't cheat on him. It'll be a hard habit to stop once the stakes get higher, and there's a karmic price to pay for hurting people unnecessarily, too. Good luck to you.

you obviously don't know the definition of fwb.

fwb is when you aren't WITH someone already, you're just in it to have fun, you already have a boyfriend which categorizes itself as cheating

if you want to have fwb's then you'll have to break up with yout boyfriend.
