I'm 20 now. I dont belive anymore and haven't for years. I just play church so I won't dissapoint them. But I'm getting tired of hiding it. And yes I do go to church with them. I know they'll blame it on my Atheist Boyfriend, but the truth is I haven't belived long before I met him. The question is, should I tell them or let them keep thinking I belive?

I'm 18,I'm an Atheist with very very strict Catholic parents.
I've been Atheist ever since I can remember, I also tried to go to church to make them happy. But after a while, I just refused to go, they would try to make me, I wouldn't budge. After a while they got the hint. When I turned 18 I had a long talk with them about how I was an adult now and had the right to choose what I want to believe in or not. Your 20, I think it's time they let you live your life. It's not gonna be easy but they have to accept the fact that Atheist or not, you are still their daughter.

I would just tell them they might be disappointed maybe even hate you a little bit but i think that if you break it to them kindly without insulting their religion they might understand.

Edit: Hmm disowned huh. I guess you have to decide what is more important to you your principals or your family. Whatever your choice is just do what you think is right.

Stop living a lie and simply stop going. You don't have to tell them anything.
