No, He already is "whatever will make you feel the best about yourself".

the concept of god is introduced to the human race through religions... religions seek to take credit for what others beyond that limited religion understands... they.. each individual religions.. seek to promote their agenda and hold as much influence as possible upon the earth... they all justify their "laws" by attributing their knowledge coming from this all knowing god.... They made god into what ever promoted their ability to take power .... it is not the best of what they are.... religions gain that benefit by making other beleive in a god and others there fore attribute their work as gods... but it is the individual who does the work, makes the reasoning... comes up with the answers and if they are part of a religion they will attribute their work or give credit of their work to some god... the most foolish of these is when we hear celebraties thanking god for an oscar... god didn't go to the audition or to the rehersals, or learn the script the celebraty did all the work... they also seem to forget the hardship they've gone through to make themselve who they are... but as long as you are willing to give someone else credit for your hard work there is a religious leader somewhere benefiting from your choice...

its sort of funny when you ask a question about God and people get a bit defensive. anywho, i try to keep it real when it comes to God. all i have to go on is the bible, and my faith. and of course when you get too many people involved things can get a little twisted up unfortunately. some of the non believers seem to be intimidated by something they dont even believe in, and some do have love for Him but only in the conditional sense. im not a scholar on this subject, and i know there may be some things i may not agree with or dislike about christianity, but im okay with it and i will still respect it because i have faith that its for my own good, and i know what He says goes. It all means something. i try my best. you dont always like what your parents say but you love them right. (hopefully) lol.

take it easy.

There are so many different religions, that I don't know if there is just ONE way that GOD can be. Each religion has followers that completely and fully believe in their religion and their version of GOD. I think there is a fine line between making GOD into whatever makes you feel like you are themost amazing person ever, and making religion into what you really think and believe human nature and the world are and should be, but there definitely is a line between the two.

Who is anyone to really say who HE or SHE or IT or THEM really is/are? We are but human beings, with small human minds compared to GOD's wonder.

Who is one religion to say that their GOD is the best, the most amazing, the one and only GOD? Very few understand the complete teachings and nuances of each religion, and even then the choice is about the personal beliefs about what is right or wrong, what should or should be.

I try not to, but I'm pretty sure sometimes I'm guilty of worshipping the imaginary god :) We all have our moments. This is a good question. It reminds us that God is a real being with his own unchanging character, not our genie in a bottle, someone who thinks we are better than others because we play by more rules, or someone who always agrees with us.

On the contrary, I try to make myself into whatever I feel will be best based on what I take God as. That said, what "HE really is" is debated, so it is really not that simple.

I take Him as He is because He takes me as I am. No matter how hard we try to sugar-coat God, his demeanor and personality is very obvious in the Bible. The best we can do is live our lives so that we might glorify Him!!

Nope. He has revealed Himself in the scriptures and I prefer to BELIEVE what He says about Himself than to live in a fantasy world of make believe.

Interesting question! My desire is one thing, but the truth is another! The GOD I read about in the Bible is fair and just! That is all I know! PEACE!
