They also ignore the passages about working for salvation with fear and trembling, the bread of life discourse, and all the instances of baptism in Acts.

I don't think it is about finding fault. I can't tell from your question if you believe what the Bible says or not. If you do then why do you need to ask for other people's opinions? If you don't then you can't use the Bible to disprove it. Isn't that kind of like a dog chasing it's own tail?

Yep that's a big one that's overlooked. Couple more too. Can't remember the exact verse but it was something about speaking the word and converting without fear or intimidation. The other was judge not less thee be judged. Oh ya there is >>> God looks into the hearts and minds .......men don't.

john chapter six and the eucharist, if you can miss a whole chapter and its meaning then you can miss a verse or two regarding other matter, they claim to be able to interpret scripture for themselves yet turn to their pastor for understanding, that is all well and good until you put down catholics for turning to the magisterium for understanding. you can't claim the bible is self interpreting or easy to interpret and then tell another person they are wrong in their interpretation. it makes no sense, the church gave us the bible, which church? well according to jesus and the early christians what came to be known as the roman catholic church is the only one that fits all criteria.

I do not think Christians, Fundamentalists, Atheists, Muslims, Agnostics, or any one (regardless their nationality or ethnicity or any religious affiliation) has cornered the market on this sin. Although I believe it is wrong, it is still human nature to quickly & clearly see and point out the faults, sins, and shortcomings of others, while ignoring or being purposefully blind to their own faults, sins, and shortcomings.

I'm sorry your angry at Christians. But to judge us as a whole you are wrong. We are not Gods army of robots. I live by the passage you just quoted. You have no right to judge anyone. Are you perfect. I think not.
and to MG anti am. You have no authority to judge anyone. Not even a gay person. Who are you to set anyone straight. Gods Word might. Even though you might judge me. Your judgment has no consequence. Only God's.

Fundamentalists don't read the bible. They tuck it under their arm, hold it aloft, or thump it, but they don't read it.
That's the attraction of fundamentalism - the church leaders work out the details and the mugs don't have to do anything for themselves.

Nice verse, have you tried giving an interpretation within the context of the entire Bible?
Out of context, then we should just all be quiet. But what does the rest of the Bible say? How do we reconcile it with other verses?

I love that verse. I wish atheists would actually apply it to their lives too, but since it comes from the Bible it has no meaning for them which leads me to wonder why you are pointing out scripture that you don't even believe in?

Atheist and all nonbelievers of the Holy Bible will never be able to interpret the bible or come to understand it because their heart and their insight is not with the word but against it.
THEY WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO SEE THE LIGHT BECAUSE THEY WALK IN DARKNESS.
Try to convince a color blind person the correct color you see is not the same as the color blind person sees (especially when they don't know they are color blind).
GOD BLESS! AMEN! SHALOM!
