You will be able to claim a dependent exemption for 2007 as long as the child was born by 12/31/07.

If you have lived with the child since his birth, you are yourself not a qualifying child of someone else, and you cannot be claimed as a dependent, then he is your qualifying child and you can claim him as your dependent.
