THE HELLS IN THE BIBLE
The nearest I can figure it out, hell [ and hells ], was created by the people and some deserve to go to places they created. Tophet, Gehenna or Valley of the son of Hinnom hell fire, death and burial by fire or burial by fire [ some in human sacrifice in the fire 2Chr.28:1-4];
Jer.7:30.31; 19:2-5; king Josiah turned it into Mark 9:42-48; the city dump, so it counts nothing for apostles of Jesus Matt.10:28;
Tartarus prison hell. For the angels that sin, Jude 6 [ before flood ], 1Pet.3:18-20 [ Jesus went to visit the angels that sinned before the flood ]; 2Pet.2:4;
the angels that sinned before the flood, kept from doing it again.
The gates of hell or the gates of the grave Matt.16:18; Isa.38:10;
As for Sepulchre, cave, pit, tomb, grave hell, cemetery or burial grounds where most are resurrected from, some from seas or death itself.
Acts 2:27-35; Resurrection of Jesus from hell John 19:38-42; his cave grave.
David was still dead in his sepulchre, cave, pit, tomb, grave hell burial place.
John 3:13-17; No heavenly raised up Rom.16:20; to time of the end when
Satan cast down to earth out of heaven to have a short time Rev.12:3,4,6-11,12;
Rev.20:1-6,12,13;
No Satan 1000 years. 1Cor.15:22-28; Resurrection in order, heavenly first.
Rev.3:12;
The heavenly [ for the new heavens ], are with Jesus, to resurrect the dead as earthly [ for the new earth Isa.65:17 ]; 2Pet.3:13;
After the 1000 years. Rev.7-10; No Satan as he is cast into the lake of fire,
fire rains down from heaven to devour men that are like unto Satan. Rev,21:8 [ some deserve the second death, why is beyond imagination ];
Rich man and Lazarus:
Belief of the Pharisee leaders, who did not know Moses and the prophets, but as Babylon a good reward for the best and a bad for the worst, but a sick man is
of the blessed of Abraham through Christ. Only Jesus followers world know the truth here Luke 16:16,17,29,31; If you find it in the law and the prophets, you find the truth. Gen.3:9; Death is opposite of life, there is no living dead.

It just surprises me that God can flood the whole world killing everyone but those on the Ark.
God can send angels to destroy Sodom and Gomorrha
But God wouldn't create a Hell....
maybe the website below can convince you.

As you can see from some of the answers here - God does not condemn people to hell; they choose it for themselves.

It is that and much more is what I'm believing...I think they in hell will look up and see the others in heaven and they cannot get there. But it is described as a lake of fire, and outer darkness. Whatever it is I don't want to go there at all. It is for eternity.

I don't really believe that, because I don't believe hell is a place. Neither is heaven. The word "place" is only a convenient way to talk about them.
By His nature, God is everywhere. But there are areas in which He doesn't interfere. Our free will is one of those areas.
Hell is the absence of God, not because God isn't "there," but because by choice, people or devils or whatever kind of entities choose to follow something else besides God's will -- for us to love Him and each other.
That causes a separation between a person and God: not in that God isn't "there" in the separation, but because the person chooses to reject God in favor of something else. So God's love and grace and influence doesn't reach that person's heart.

Actually -- Even in the Psalms it is clear that God's presence is still felt even in Hell.
The Second Death is another matter. Death means separation, and the Second Death means eternal separation of a soul from God.

Pascal's Wager again!
Christians sometimes proffer Pascal’s Wager (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pascal%27s_wager ) suggesting to non-believers that they should accept Jesus (John 3:16) as some sort of insurance policy against hell, just in case it turns out god really exists. The fallacy with this line of reasoning is that faith in god for some reward or to avoid punishment is not faith at all. It is a selfish act to receive something in return for a belief. The point of religious belief so that one becomes a better person, not to receive a reward or please a spiritual being.

You got ther wrong Bible picture of Hell my friend!
By believing in Jesus and being “saved” you will get one of the first seats in Heaven to watch how the vast majority of the human beings including your “unsaved” family members and old acquaintances will be tormented in a sulfuric Hell fire lake or what have you for ever and ever and you will be encouraged to poke fun showing a wet big finger for them to lick hoping to quench their thirst and you can tease them all you want for ever and ever… That’s HEAVEN! No wonder Jesus said that you must hate your father and your mother and everybody else to follow him, especially if they are "unsaved" and go to HELL! You will hear a lot of “I told you so…” from Sweet Jesus! He thought of everything!
Luke 16:23-25-NIV (Jesus is telling us…) AND BEING IN TORMENTS IN HELL, he* (*a rich man in Hell) lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; FOR I AM TORMENTED IN THIS FLAME.’(and Jesus all excited continues the story telling…) But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and YOU ARE TORMENTED! (Hey, these are words of Sweet Jesus Christ… he will enjoy watching the Christians teasing those in HELL for rejecting him!)
Revelation 14:10-11 "he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. HE WILL BE TORMENTED WITH BURNING SULFUR in the presence of the holy angels and of the LAMB* (*aka God the Son Jesus Christ, and some Christians who will ALWAYS be with him wherever he goes/John 17:24). And the smoke of their torment rises FOR EVER AND EVER. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name."
So if you got saved make sure that you pay your tithes and offering or you will be given a Christian burial without next of kin notification and go to HELL for sinning against God the Holy Ghost! (Acts 5:1-11)! Not paying the full tithes and offerings is a great blasphemy against the Holy Ghost!

I agree with Michelle Chang's opinion.
Hell is where a soul will suffer of fire for eternity. There is no more salvation and no way to be rescued.

Not quite. 'If I rise up into heaven, You are there. If I descend into the depths of Sheol, thou art there as well.'
Perhaps those in Hell simply cannot perceive Him there.
