I am 21 weeks pregnant and am planning on making Chinese food tonight. What are some good options for me to use as fillings that are not raw?

It also CANNOT be tuna.

Thanks!!!!

Tofu, vegetables (cooked or raw), chicken, beef, canned or smoked salmon and cream cheese and of course egg. Really you can fill a sushi roll with anything you can imagine - it need not be raw at all. My kids love sushi but they never had any raw fish until after they were 7 (per the Dr they don't have the enzyme to digest raw meat until they are 7). There are many sushi sites that will give you any number of fish free choices. Have fun!

First of all, sushi is Japanese. And second, you can eat anything when you're pregnant. I would grind or have your butcher grind some chicken. Put that in a pan with some green onions, garlic and ginger and salt and pepper. Once that is cooked, fill some won ton wrappers and bake them in the oven. There are a variety of sauces you can buy for dipping. I've done it before. It was a crowd pleaser.

aside from sushi being Japanese... and you're doing Chinese food...sorry... had to

I am vegetarian and I only eat the vegetable rolls, so avocado, cucumber, sweet potato tempura, carrots, thinly sliced red pepper...

what about smoked salmon... that's cooked and not tuna? and imitation crab... that's a cooked fish right?

Cooked shrimp, unagi (cooked BBQ eel), and veggie fillings.

Also, sushi is not Chinese, it's Japanese (just a clarification).
