I was denied for a best buy credit card, how long will it take for that denial to reflect on my credit?

The inquiry will show up as soon as you apply.
The denial itself will not show up, you just won't have a tradeline for BB show up.

You can now request a free copy of your credit report due to the denial. Best Buy MUST tell you which of the 3 credit agencies was the basis of their decision and each agency consulted must provide a free credit report. This is aside from the free annual credit reports (http://annualcreditreport.com ) that they are obligated to provide.

Credit reports do not show denials. They show inquires (but not whether approved or denied) and accounts that were opened (approved).
