What would happen? Would it back up into your kidneys? Would something tear? Would your body become toxic, and have that lead to other problems?

I doubt that its been that long. You produce about 30ml of urine a hr... n ur bladder can only comfortably hold about a litre and a half.... If it had been that long since u peed then u would be in serious pain. ...
But.. yes.. the back pressue could cause urine to go back to the kidneys... (causing possibly a kidney infection) u wouldnt become toxic beaucse the toxins are already excereted into ur urine.. it doesnt get re-absorbed... u would probably get a UTI from the uring sitting there for so long... as urinating is a way of flushing out the system. Ur stomach would become painfully distended... ur bladder wouldnt actually burst... unless the path was actually blocked. Otherwise the pressue would just build up causing u to pee.
if this is really happening then please go to a doc.. because watever is causing this is not NORMAL!!

If you couldn't pee, you'd have no way of flushing toxins from your system. You would then be required to get dialysis to cleanse your body from the impurities until you could get a transplant of the organs that don't work and hope you get a donated organ before you die.

You would die without the ability to de-tox and urinate.

YOU NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR! That is not normal. Go to an ER ASAP! The urine would back up into the kidneys and make them stop working.

It would be very painful and could cause you some serious damage. I suspect it could kill you. I was in the hospital recovering from surgery and I guess all the meds shut down my bladder and I couldn't go pee. They still kept the IV line in my arm so I could receive fluids. With more and more fluids in me and not being able to pee my bladder was getting fuller and fuller by the minute. The nurse came in to give me a Foley(so I could pee) but she never completed it and went home from her shift. Nobody returned to help me and as more time went by my bladder got bigger and bigger. I was straining in the bathroom to pee and the strain was opening up my wounds and I was bleeding too. Finally, a nurse came in and said she would call my doctor at home for him to come in and give me a Foley Cath. I wanted a doctor from the hospital but she said it doesn't work that way. I was going crazy! 2 hours later when my doctor finally arrived, I received my Foley Cath and I was finally able to pee. The doctor couldn't believe how much I had to pee. I think I would have died if they had continued giving me fluids without the benefit of peeing. It was sooo painful. Not again! Not going there again. That whole mess was much worse than my surgery itself. I never wish to experience the pain of not being able to pee again for so long. If you feel the need to pee and can't go pee then go into the immergency room so they can fix you up immediately with no damage done.

I know what happens when you can't poop, you become full of s**t.

Don't think that it is called the same thing when you are full of pee.
