The first full blown one was with Darrell Waltrip, which developed at the Winston, as mentioned.
Rusty and Dale Earnhardt, as well as Jeff Gordon later on would have something going on, though with Earnhardt, he was either the best of friends (Pocono in the early 90's, when Earnhardt pushed Rusty's car to victory when it was running out of gas), or the worst of enemies (Bristol 1995, when Rusty got punted by Earnhardt VERY early in the race, then post race, Rusty threw a water bottle at Earnhardt in anger)
Later on in his carrer, he would tangle with Ricky Rudd, though if you think about it, Rudd should be thankful for Rusty though, as during the 1999 Daytona 500, Rusty realized that while trying to pull a move on Jeff Gordon, that he would of not given Gordon enough room, and would of had him plow into Rudd's disabled car.
Rusty could at times be a bit of a stubborn-***, but then again, some of the drivers that were around before these young guns came in, who wasnt stubborn at times?
And as someone else just mentioned and I forgot, there was Ryan Newman, but that was more Newman just being a arrogant young punk who thought his Purdue education was worth more than Rusty's years of expeirence in NASCAR. Note though that ever since Rusty left Penske, Ryan hasnt done much of anything at all.

Rusty was in the top 10 in the history of the sport determined to win IMHO. On the track it was Rusty against the field. Off the track Ryan Newman was the only driver he did not or could not get along with. Not from lack of trying though.

Yes. Dale Earnhardt and Rusty ran the last 32 laps at the Bristol August night race side by side with Dale winning by a nose. I think I was the only fan in the crowd who wanted Rusty to win.

Rusty and Dale Sr had a dislike for one another on the track, It got pretty fierce a few times but off the track Rusty and Dale Sr were best of friends. They had alot of respect for each other. Jeff Gordon was another driver he didn't like after Jeff moved him a few too many times at Bristol and a few other tracks. D.W and Rusty had a bitter rivalry after Rusty spun DW out in the all star race. After that race DW said he wished Rusty would choke on that $200,000 he won for that race. There were alot more, but that names a few.

Rusty Wallace was a serious driver who was hard to get along with. He had a problem with everyone at one time or another, including NASCAR. His biggest rivary was probably Dale Eardhardt Sr.

Yeah as others have said, he had many rivalries when he drove. A lot of race fans and drivers couldn't stand him when he was in his prime during the early to mid 90's. He use to call his wins before the race started, and he always came through on them too. So he came off a little cocky to say the least.
