Okay I havent gotten my hair cut in 4-3 years. I've straightened for just about out every school day and then some.
I know thats horrible for my hair, but it looks horrible when i don't straighten it.

Well my hair goes down to my chest, i have blonde hair, its now turning brown, because of genes. It's the kind of hair color people pay a lot of money for. I have a round face, and high eyebrows.

What kind of hair style should i try for. I always side part it, but it bare noticable. I have bangs that go right above my chin aswell.

Im really freaking out, i know it need to be done, but im afraid they are going to cut it shorter than i want them to.

I have had my hair really short when i was younger be force of the wal-mart hair cutters, and ever since i've dread going.

And btw, i've had it chemicaly permenate straightened, so the top of it is kinky, and near the ends it is frizzy and straight.

Get a couple of hair styling mags,or if you see a style that you like in a different mag,or paper cut it out. Check around with the Friends that you think have good haircuts, ask what salon they go to. Or if you like someone's cut you see in a store or whatever ,ask where they got the cut.
Then ,make an appt. & get a consotation (they're usually free) Don't forget your pics . Then if you like what (if you think the fit is good)the stylist suggestions& you think he (or she) is listening & in tune with you, make the appt. Good Luck!

I think your worrying to much about your how your hair will look after cutting it...but every girl does if they haven't cut it in a while. (btw, next time include a picture). I think if you do something that is in your opinion, you'll end up looking just fine...and if you have a family member to cut your hair, they'll do it just how you want it (unlike hairdressers)

instyle and marie claire both have these programs where you an upload a pic of yourself and then try on differnt hair cuts and colors. find one you like best, print it out, then go to a salon that your friends recommend and ask the barber person if he can cut it the exact same way
