If you use a wipe and delete program to remove deleted files, can the system be restored to a previous date before the installation of the progrom to retrieve those wiped files? Thank you.

For example, I have wiped my computer of old files. I would like to know if someone could restore my computer to an older date and view what I have "wiped"? Thanks again.

A wipe program will delete the data and overwrite the space multiple times with random data. Just restoring your system can not bring back any files.

There are some very sophisticated programs that can undelete after the wipe programs work, but only government agencies use them.

Time Machine on the Mac can restore older versions of a file, not the wiped file although some of the older versions may in fact be identical to a deleted file. There are similar programs for a Windows computer.
