That was started by the church and priests continue to tell members that divorce is wrong, and if gays marry they will not produce more Christians. That is the real reason about divorce and marrying as gays from the catholic church point of view and I am sure that other denominations feel the same way. No children fewer Christians and less money for the pockets of those in the religion business.

Because divorce is part of their Christianicity, even if they will never admit it....divorce for them is the "solution" to get out "clean" from a situation that would give them no escape, according to Chruch commandments....gay people are instead considered like rubbish by the Christianesim, so they will be always neglected in all their activities. But when it comes out that between Christians there have been "problems" created by lesbian daughters or gay sons, well, that the part I like most, a lot of laughs about their prejudices and their sorrow and their bla bla bla, but be sure they will always find a "correct" excuse and solution for their pain!!!

You asked three questions: Christian behavior, "gay" marriage, and divorce. Please consider this somewhat lengthy answer:
As for Christian behavior, 1 Cor 10:23-24 is the restriction that Paul wrote.
There is nothing "hardcore" about Christianity; Christians are suppose to follow Christ and Christ did not address "gay" marriage.
Paul does talk about Jewish Christians that are living under the Law (Torah). The key word here is "Jewish" referring to Christians who were descendants of Israel (Jacob) or who had converted to Judaism. As Jews, they were subject to the covenant made between God and Israel (and Israel's descendants) for all time. Old Testament documents the 613 commandments found in the first five books (Torah), and here is where you will find commandments banning same sex relationships which includes marriage between the same sex.
Jesus was a Jew and a Jewish Rabbi. Jesus ministered to the Jews. Jesus did have contact with the gentiles (non Jews), but he did not direct his teaching to them. In fact it was the other way specifically as an example of faith. Jesus asked his followers teach all nations.
In Acts, you will find the debate regarding Christians needing to be converted to Judaism before becoming Christian thereby becoming members of a Jewish sect subject to covenant between God and Israel. It was decided (actually revealed) that conversion to Judaism was unnecessary; however, Jews who converted to Christianity still practice Judaism. Here is where divorce comes in. Jesus asked his followers not to divorce; however, they had the option to divorce.
Historically, when the Temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD, Christianity as a Jewish sect ended. Judaism moved away from a religion direct to God by Temple sacrifice. Modern Judaism practices all 613 commandment except those the dealing with the Temple: Rabbinic Jewish.
Answer: What you have observed is Christians behaving badly. “gay” marriage is forbidden to those following the Torah, all of the Torah. Christianity is a new covenant between God and the Gentiles. The Torah does allow divorce, but Christ asked his followers not to divorce if possible.
An aside: Do you really think “hardcore” Christians are Christians? Do you think protesting is a form of teaching? Jesus never protested, so why should his followers? Christians should focus on entering the kingdom of God, and the Kingdom of God is not of this world.

I agree with Born Again Atheist.
They love divorcees. They don't love the gay people so much. Divorce can keep them with fresh--not to mention cruel-- gossip for years. For some strange reason they find it fascinating. Looks like they'd get a more christian hobby.

Go figure. Jesus very clearly forbade divorce.
Mark 10:1-12
1 And he arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Judaea by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again. 2 And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him. 3 And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you? 4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away. 5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. 6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. 9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. 10 And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter. 11 And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. 12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.
So why don't some of those Christians who stand around the Planned Parenthood office on Saturday divvy up their time between that and the courthouses, where divorces are granted every day, all day long?

It boils down to most Christians being dissatisfied with following what they believe, they must force the Christian ideology down everyones throat. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it now. The Christian movement claims to support freedom but is behind some of the greatest threats to personal freedom past to present

A star for you.
I think the answer is because they do it themselves and if they protested it, then it would be embarrassing if they got divorced themselves. This way they just keep quiet and can do whatever they want to without having to explain themselves.

Because when you protest a divorce it like you just put your nose where it doesn't belong. But when you protest gay marriages its like "rolling dirty" with Jesus.

Because they are hypocrites with a lot of time on their hands. Instead of protesting about gays, movies and such, they should go to Africa to end world hunger!
