i am looking to get a new car, and i have looked at far to many, and they all seem to have their benefits, as well as, downsides. I live in minnesota so I am trying to get something good for all seasons, that is comfortable, safe, gets good gas mileage, and most importantly, reliability. i will put a list of the cars i have drove and am considering, for the most part they all meet my requirements, but they all have differing strengths and weaknesses. any help or insight would be appreciated. this is a tough decision for me. o yea, and i am trying to spend as little as possible, for sure under $15,000.

heres a list of what ive looked at and am interested in:
2004 subaru wrx
2001 bmw 325i
2003 cadillac deville DHS
2000 and up lexus gs300 and 400
1998 and up lexus ls400
2000 and up lexus IS 300
2002 acura mdx (
2001 and up infiniti q45
2001 and up bmw xi

manual or automatic transmission does not matter,i like them both. also,i the hardest part is deciding between luxury or performance.

in my experience, someone all over the board like you, end up either buying nothing or something like a civic. Someone with only 15k to spend shouldn't be looking at anything luxury, you can afford the car, but not the proper maintenance.

I would reccomend a used subaru or volvo wagon like the Subaru Outback or Volvo V50. They are very safe, great in bad weather and fairly comfortable. The Outback is also known as a "fun to drive" car.

The Subaru WRX is the best investment and will hold its value the best (there are over 24,000 BMW 3-series out there!). It will be the best combination of fun to drive, safety, etc.

You should get a 2004 Subaru WRX, since it is reliable and has AWD.

Just get an Accord sedan or something.

My thought is find out what car has higher repair rate than others. Hopefully you will have no problems but do a search to find common problems on these models.
