Sometimes I feel like I don't belong anywhere. And it's gonna take so long for me to get somewhere. Sometimes I feel so heavy hearted. But I can't explain cuz I'm so guarded

I think everyone goes through that phase in life where they are trying to find themselves and decide who they are as a person. Everyone belongs somewhere, she should figure it out, dont worry. Im going to guess your girlfriend is young like teens or early 20s or maybe had a broken family life. Like parents divorced or some jazz like that.
Or she wants to be a singer.....whats up with the ryhmes.

Sounds like shes fairly young, not sure of where her place is in the world yet. If late teens her hormones will be giving her hassle and if her homelife isn't steady that will add to the insecurity. If you are her boyfriend then be a really good friend, don't take advantage of her and be calm steady anchor for her while shes going through a rough sea.

It means that she isnt comfortable with herself and very insecure, and feels that others dont accept her. And she's saying its going to take a while for her to get over that and be secure with herself. She doesnt want to give too much of herself away and get out there cause shes afraid of getting hurt in another relationship.

I'm gonna take a guess and say that she doesn't know what she wants in life, or is trying to figure out what she wants. She doesn't know where she wants to go or where life is going to take her. Not knowing who to trust, she needs time to figure out what life is going to be like. She needs a friend that will be there.Just a guess, none of us will actually ''know'' what she's thinking, ask her and maybe she'll open up to you, give it time :) Good luck and this is just my opinion :) kelly.

It means she's having an identity crisis and feels like it's going to take years for her to find out who she really is inside. Her personality may change rapidly and by varying degrees during this emotional time.

to me shes basically saying has this brick wall around her heart so as not to get hurt and because of this she feels lonely, she finds it hard to show her emotions maybe becus of her past, but to find out what goes deeper on inside give her time, support her and as long as you build trust you will soon one day let down her wall

She is a manic depressive, who is overly secretive, defeatist, lazy, and insular.
Probably got an attitude due to the above.
Very high maintenance and hard work.
