He is currently being treated for his addiction but I have heard he has tried to have sex with very young girls. My step-son acts very strange upon returning from thier place: Locking himself in the bathroom and if we go to check on him he yells and screams for us to go away. This only lasts a day until he realizes he is back with us. I am afraid he might be getting sexually abused while he is there. What do you all think and what should I do?

The only problem is that we are under court order that he has visitation with them, and right now going back to court is not an option because it is so expensive.

Good lord, how much is too much money to make this kid safe? You're good to have paid attention and noticed that's something is wrong, now do something about it. Tell him to come clean to you and that you can't help him if you don't know the details. Tell him that there are options that will help him. There may be a chance that the boy fears for his mother and family if he says something. Tell him if this is the case, it's just not true and is a common tactic of adults who do things that are wrong.

Call the cops and get their advice on how to proceed. They'll have counsellors who can tell you what your rights are, too, I would think.

I think you definitely need to keep him home with you where he is safe! The fact that he acts like that when he comes home from a visit is proof that something is going on. It is your duty to protect your step son and any other children in that household.....please report what is happening!!

If he must go then send him unless he throws a tantrum in front of them or something to show he does not want to go. Talk to him about what happens over there and make sure if he feels like it that it is ok to call anytime to talk or get you to come get him.

I would let your lawyer or someone know about this and make it legal that as long as he is there the child cannot be in her home. She maybe only able to visit him at your hom. I would do something ASAP.===

Call the law. There is a hot line for this kind of thing. He is probably showing the kid porn and upsetting him. PROTECT your stepson, apparently his mom won't.
