Why do atheists such as yourself, always have to ask questions about religion. I mean if you don't believe in God, why ask questions about Him? You're obviously not looking for an answer to this question, but an agreement that God doesn't exist and that you're right in what you are doing!

Ever wonder in trying and ask the dead Mummy for help? Something like I'm out of work with temporary setback. With family to feed and mortgages to pay including living expenses. That may take more tha six months or more to recover. I go to church because I want to, for one thing, and to worship Jesus Christ. Sorry you feel that way. Why not read the New Testament and then maybe you'll gain some insights.
I don't understand why you mentioned the Hare Krishna devotees in your last message. They have no connection with the Christian faith at all.

People believe the religions because they are brought up with them playing intense roles within their lives. we are taught the nativity, we sing the carols, we pray and learn that God is REAL that Jesus came to save us and that he is coming back to judge the wicked and grant everlasting heaven to the righteous. It takes a person with a logical, reasonable disposition to question these FACTS taught to us in schools. We forever meet with arrogance and ignorance from people to intellectually lazy to question their existance and the validity ofthe bible and other sacred texts. They would ratherlive in the bubble created for them by the church than risk hell, they are indoctrinated to a point of zombieism, which there seems no escape. We as Atheists spend our time trying to show them the truth, that they are pawns, manipulated for the profit of the few! we show them the contridictions, the deceit, the lies of the bible, the lies of the Papacy and the other organised religion, they don't see for they are blinded by the light, one that they see as heavenly, one we see as subjugation. it may be a cause lost, but I feel it is our duty to keep trying, for the fate of the human race could be in the hands of one of these fundementalist and that can only predict doom. I give the presidency of George Bush as example, where would he take his christian values next, to the bombing of Iran, to nuke the entire 'axis of evil', education and knowledge is the only key to enlightenment of the mind.
