I stopped into Hallmark yesterday to buy one a Collectable ornament for my Mother-in-law's Christmas tree.

A lady was an aisle over with her daughter pointing at a Santa Clause display.

"See? S-a-n-t-a... now just rearrange the last three letters and what do you get?" - woman
"I donno mommy" - girl
"S-a-t-a-n. Santa is Satan's way of stealing Jesus' birthday and taking the focus off of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That is why when your friends get excited about Santa it makes Jesus sad. But Jesus gives us little clues so we can tell what is from God and what is from the devil. It's important to keep a watchful eye." -woman
"oooh" - girl

What are your honest opinions about this scene?

I'm not judging her or "dictating how she should raise her children"... I actually haven't even said if I believe what was said was wrong or right. I'm am simply relaying what was said, and asking your opinion on the matter.

Please have a nice day.

Uncalled for.....that's my opinion. If you don't want your child to "believe in" Santa, it probably only takes a simple explanation that he is just a symbol of the "giving" that takes place at Christmas. While I believe there is far too much commercialism involved with Christmas, and while I don't believe Dec. 25 was the birthday of Jesus, and while I know that the celebration of Dec. 25 has it's origins in pagan religion, I don't believe in "scaring" the daylights out of small children with that kind of remark. Yes, parents have the right to teach their values and beliefs to their children. Do they always do it in the best way? No. But most parents do try. Definitely in a Christian's celebration of Christmas, the emphasis is going to be on Jesus not Santa. But Santa isn't "evil". If you read the origin of St. Nicholas, he was a kind and generous person. However, children allowed to believe that they can selfishly get anything they want no matter how ridiculous or out of line simply because they "ask Santa" is evil. It is not the spirit of the Christ of Christmas. While receiving thankfully is a gift in itself, it is still more blessed to give than to receive. Our children need to be taught that above all.

One is just about has bad as the other. The woman has a point, then on the other hand, all these Christians celebrating Christmas, when in reality it is not the birth of Christ, it was the birth of a Pagan sun god......so either way Satan is winning. The woman for lying and trying to candy coat it for what Christmas really is or I should say isn't. And the so called Christians that know where the holiday originated from but celebrate it any way. hmmmm......

I even have some, i'm sorry, i basically can no longer decrease it! The Tyler loss of life scene in 'undergo in recommendations me' is epic. whilst the towers fall and the demonstrate is going black, my coronary heart actually stopped beating for a 2d. yet another scene is in Due Date, humorous decision i understand, yet whilst Peter says "The streets of Hollywood are no longer paved with gold, they're paved with the carcasses of ******* imbeciles such as you who think of they're gonna pass there and make it" i exchange into like sure, ultimately some trouble-free cinema. It exchange right into a great scene. In Jerry Maguire, whilst Dorothy says "You had me at hi" that is an iconic scene. desire this helped :)

Hardly any Christian knows the Christmas story!...
The 3 Eastern astrologers, soothsayers, or what have you who came to pay homage to the baby Jesus were practicing a sin that in the Bible carries the death sentence when caught! But since they were looking for Jesus in the stars it is OK! (Bible Ethics 101) These Heathen kings were very stupid! They came all the way to the Royal Palace of King Herod the Roman client King of the Jews to ask him candidly, "where is the newborn king of the Jews?... for we have seen his star in the East” and so on... BTW, this newborn king is the rightful king of the Jews!

God had to protect baby Jesus and told the Heathen kings not to go back to King Herod, but to sneak out of Judea without telling anybody (Bible Ethics 101). King Herod got mad and sent his troops with a royal order to slaughter all the Jewish baby boys up to 2 years of age. God said that without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. A lot of innocent blood was shed at the birth of Jesus Christ!

The Jewish mothers who lost their babies were so upset that not even the God the Holy Ghost could comfort them. They "refused to be comforted!" (Mat 2:18) Today, no honest Christian cares about them! They wish they could be reported so they can be deleted! God comes up in a dream to Saint Joseph and tells him to wake up and take the baby Jesus Christ and scram to the forbidden land of Egypt in the middle of the night. The Jews were not supposed to return to Egypt ever again!

Jeremiah 42:18-19 (NIV) This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: 'As my anger and wrath have been poured out on those who lived in Jerusalem, so will my wrath be poured out on you when you go to Egypt. You will be an object of cursing and horror, of condemnation and reproach; you will never see this place again.' "O remnant of Judah, the LORD has told you, 'Do not go to Egypt.' Be sure of this: I warn you today

So when King Herod is exterminating all the Jewish baby boys in Judea it is OK to flee for cover to the friendly Nation of Egypt! God makes the rules as we play the game (Bible Ethics 101)

Christians pirated some Pagan holidays for the celebration of the birth of God the Son Jesus Christ otherwise they would have no celebration! If it weren’t for Santa, the Christmas season would be a total flop! He gets 99 % of the Christian attention!

These people are ridiculous. Does this mean that the next thing they will say is, "Any time you are praying to God, this is actually the devil making you pray to Dog?"

It's ignorant and superstitious people like that woman who give Christianity a bad name.
