When somebody says 'they need space' - for what reason is it usually?
Surely you don't want space from the person you are supposed to love?
And is the end result ever the right one?

I agree with Erin, but sometimes there is stress involved and the person in question just needs time away from it to re-assess and maybe even re-group.

Usually people need space because there is doubt. It's either self-doubt or doubt about the relationship. Sure, there may be love. But there could be other factors that cause doubt. Needing space is a way to back off and re-evaluate. And I can guarantee, the end result is always the one that's right. If the relationship ends, it wasn't meant to be. If the relationship thrives, you know that time was needed in order to allow the relationship to grow.
