No.

The advance is based on the anticipated tax return. One income = one return = one advance.

Yes both can apply , that doesn't mean that you'll receive it .. You add all household income into the application and having 10,000 in income for 2008 and a 1000. refund for 2007 .. besides being a prior client from one of the last 2 years .. being over 18 all things this takes into consideration .. Along with being in good standing with HRB .. Take in your last pay check stub from all jobs for both filers and a drivers license .. they will beable to help you out from there

The Emerald Advance is an individual line of credit. Any individual who qualifies can get it. There are no joint accounts for this line of credit.

Go to hrblock.com to find an office where you can apply.

The best thing to do is you should call to your local block office. They may or may not be participating in the Emerald Advance Program. It really depends on your expected refund amount too.

Don't do it. 39% APR, 1.50 for every atm withdrawal, 2.50 per call for customer service, and does not work like real credit. It does nothing to improve or effect your credit score unless you do not pay it back, then it negatively affects it. You are better off with a department store credit card.

Maybe, maybe not. You'll have to ask. Their website is not clear on the issue. Here's a link: http://www.hrblock.com/bank/emerald_advance/index.html?pgnavp=bank_tax&pgnavc=bank_tax_emer_adv
