are jewish boys circumsized ? my best friend said they are because of their religion ? i dont know im just wondering because i have a jewish friend and it would be akward to ask him lol

Yes, when they are 8 days old, health permitting.

The circumcision, called a "bris" or more formerly, "bris milah" is done by most Jews, even if they are not particularly religious.

It is part of the religion for boys to be circumcised on the eighth day of their life. It doesn't mean all are, especially in this day and age, but most still are.

I assume you're from the UK or something, which is why you'd find it strange. Most people on here are America, where cicumcision is normal practice.

Some are its a happens at a religious ceremony called the briss. I guess it all depends on how into their parents are when it comes to the religion.
