I do not think Russia would military ally with Iran,
meanwhile they could send weapon to Iran.
By the way - how USA could attack Iran?
Invasion - is out of question,
Air strike with regular weapon does nothing,
Air strike with nuke would change all the world.

The United Kingdom and the United States have been firm allies for around a hundred years. British and American soldiers have fought and died together on hundreds of battlefields all around the world. Why would we not be allies? We speak the same language, the culture is the same, our heritage is the same, our beliefs and values in freedom and justice are more or less the same. There is no reason for us to stop being allies and stop fighting together for another hundred years. If the USA invades Iran for a good reason, then the UK will of course side with the United States. And why would the USA invade Russia? The cold war ended twenty years ago

Russia has voted for the last two rounds of sanctions against Iran.
Russia has told Iran, they must stop enriching uranium.
You really think Russia would risk a nuclear war, over Iran ?
Thats just silly to think about.

When will people learn, Russia exports OIL, they do not import Oil.
Russia doesn't get any Oil from Iran.

No, they will confront the US in anything, but in the end, they would not have a leg to stand on by openly allying itself with Iran, and making itself a material enemy. The repercussions are too much for this issue to Russia or China. Iran in this situation is not worth the risk to Russia or China of alienating the US.

Russia and China have been opposing such moves anywhere in the world.They are bold enough to speak out loudly and openly that Iran is not to be invaded.Just because USA is strong country militarily today, it hardly gives them the moral right to attack any sovereign nation.The fall out of recent US attitude will ultimately hurt the USA much more than any other country.Bush has already taken his country economically backward and there is hardly any visible sign for immediate recovery of US economy.The unemployment in the USA is a matter of great concern .......Bush doesn't understand these, just as his father didn't.

I believe so. However the U.S. no matter how bad, won't do it. Its practically suicide. Russia is in bed with us and our enemies so I won't be surprised if they allied with China, Venesuela, Iran and its Middle East allies and begin a new war...I just hope it won't happen.

They would condemn America's action but it's very unlikely that they would participate, even indirectly, in helping Iran militarily.
