He needs to apply to the college and get admission. He will receive the Form I-20 mail to him. That is the proof that he has admission. With I-20, he needs to apply F-1 Student visa by filing the Form DS-156 Nonimmgrant Visa form with the filing fee of $100. He also needs to include the supporting documents of I-20, ability to pay the tuition (such as full scholarship offer, parent's bank account with sufficient amount), and strong ties to the home country (ownership of house, property, family members). He has to go interview at the US Consulate or Embassy for the visa. The most important fact getting approval of F-1 is sufficient fund for tuition and intent to come back to home country after school is done. Good luck!

First response is incorrect. He would need to apply for an F1 visa. It's very important that you follow the deadlines/time frame of the government and that your information is accurate.

I will provide you with a link that gives you directions on how to go about with the process. Good luck to your cousin.

How do you give 30 points?

He needs to go to the college web page and check out their international student requirements. They need to work with him to get a student visa (F-1).

first, he needs to check to make sure that the US is not a restricted country. second, he will need to apply for visas. this might take a while (my aunts have been waiting for ten years for theirs), though fear not, if Jordan is on friendly terms with the US ( which they most likely are), this will not take nearly as long. if he doesn't want to wait, he can go to the embassy in jordan- usually in the main capital, though i'm not 100% positive- and specifically request a visa. hope this helps, and good luck!

he has to get a passport and then be naturalized, which means to become an american citizen, otherwise, they'd be an ilegal alien, is what it's called
