If you are going to watch theAl Gore film, you should read the following legal judgement first.

The Uk department of education has been taken to the high court by a

father claiming that Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" is unfit for

schools because it is politically biased and contains serious

scientific inaccuracies and sentimental mush.

The presiding Justice Burton will make a final ruling within a week

but has already stated that the film does promote partisan political

views. This is resulting in the government education system having to

amend their Guidence Notes to make clear that:

1.) The film is a political work and promotes only one side of the

argument.

2.) If teachers present the film without making this plain they may be

in breach of section 406 of the Education Act 1966 and guilty of

political indoctrination.

3.) Eleven inaccuracies have to be specifically drawn to the attention

of school children.

The eleven inaccuracies are:

1. The film claims that melting snows on Mount Kilimanjaro evidence

global warming. The Government’s expert was forced to concede that

this is not correct.

2. The film suggests evidence from ice cores covering the last 650,000

years proves that rising CO2 causes temperature increases. The court

found that the film was misleading due to the fact that the actual

evidence from those ice cores demonstrate that the CO2 rises actually

followed temperature increases by 800 to 2000 years and so could not

have been causative.

3. The film uses emotive images of Hurricane Katrina and suggests that

this has been caused by global warming. The Government's expert had to

accept that it was "not possible" to attribute one-off events to

global warming.

4. The film shows the drying up of Lake Chad and claims that this was

caused by global warming. The Government's expert had to accept that

this was not the case.

5. The film claims that a study showed that polar bears had drowned

due to disappearing arctic ice. It turned out that Mr. Gore had

misread the study: in fact four polar bears drowned and this was

because of a particularly violent storm.

6. The film threatens that global warming could stop the Gulf Stream

throwing Europe into an ice age: the Claimant's evidence was that this

was a scientific impossibility.

7. The film blames global warming for species losses including coral

reef bleaching. The Government could not find any evidence to support

this claim.

8. The film suggests that the Greenland ice covering could melt

causing sea levels to rise dangerously. The evidence is that Greenland

will not melt for millennia.

9. The film suggests that the Antarctic ice covering is melting, the

evidence was that it is in fact increasing.

10. The film suggests that sea levels could rise by 7m causing the

displacement of millions of people. In fact the evidence is that sea

levels are expected to rise by about 40cm over the next hundred years

and that there is no such threat of massive migration.

11. The film claims that rising sea levels has caused the evacuation

of certain Pacific islands to New Zealand. The Government is unable to

substantiate this and the Court observed that this appears to be a

false claim.

Because its winter and you don't wear sufficient clothing or exercise enough. The mean average temperature throughout all of Britain has risen significantly over the past 20 years. Most winters have been so mild compared with the past that many birds that used to migrate south have stayed here all winter; many plants and shrubs no longer die back during the winter, and spring bulbs are flowering and leaves bursting on trees, up to a month earlier than previously. The last 20 years have seen hurricanes, tornados, severe floods, droughts and numerous summers which have broken all previous high temperature records. All these factors are evidence of global warming.

Global warming has many faces ,
colder in one place
hotter in others
wetter in some places and droughts in others
what it means is that climates go hay wire .

a bit like a dessert freezing at night cooking during the day
this is because the normal components that regulate climate are not there or not functioning
in hot places in Mexico people have frozen to death at night ,mainly because of deforestation
trees absorb heat in the day and release it at night
no Trees ,desert climate results.

In Chiapas ,and Tabasco in Mexico .more then a million people became homeless overnight with water coming up to their roofs ,because of rains from super evaporation from the forests, this had never happened before.
Millions of animals died and the crocodile ,who are abundant in that area were delighted.

In India 3000 people died because of super storms .
Right now the average death toll annually is 150.000 due to Global warming
a few years ago a whole bunch in France as well.

these figures are already out of date and are expected to double soon.

In Northern China millions of people are running for their lives because regular dust storms so far have buried 900 villages under the sand
and the whole of northern China is turning into a dessert.

The Sahara is growing by 7 kilometers a year all around the edges ,like a slow burning fire shriveling up their neighbors

In the Kalahari huge rivers have dried up and thousand of species are gone due to their habitats disappearing

when the north pole is gone , you may have polar bears soon in America ,looking for a home ,as the boll weavel sings.

so that is the good news you can add another specie to your list ,instead of deleting hundreds that are disappearing

the biggest changes are invisible at micro biotic levels species are becoming extinct ,others are multiplying ,this affects the insect populations that follow ,and changes in that affect all that follows in the food chains ,All life is interrelated of both flora and fauna,

And we as being on the top of the food chain are always the last to know

So Global warming has its toll there are incidents all over the world ,

You have to look at the bigger pictures. The Earth is warming up. The temperature of the Arctic ocean, for example, is increasing melting the polar icecap. Once the ice is melted the albedo it provided is gone. The oceans absorbs more heat.....Only a 1 to 2 degree increase in ocean waters can make a huge difference in global temperatures and weather patterns.

maybe you need to grow some hair on your chest!!!

Yea, I know, like I should talk.

Global warming doesn't mean that the whole world is suddenly going to get hot. It only means that we'll see a few degrees higher temps on average. It can still get cold in a lot of places.

global warming takes a long time to effect humans greatly. So far its been (the temp.) warmed by about 3 degrees but for the arctic and the oceans this is huge, animals are going crazy migrating trying to find colder areas. But people need to start taking serious action otherwise we will start to be affected ourselves not just the things around us.

The temperature changes are very subtle...on the order of a few degrees. So if it is normally 30 degrees in December, it might be 32 or 34 instead, which is still cold. So you're not likely to physically notice this, but it can and will throw off the natural balance of the earth, with the consequences coming in waves. One of the first waves, as we are noticing, are the frequency and power of oceanic storms. The oceans are warmer, and so there is more energy for storms.

You need love. I was warm when I had love, and now that it's gone, I'm cold all the time. So sad. Not even global warming can help.
