well they definantly are not AKC.

mom will need to be registered APR before you can register the litter.

Some registries require both parents to be registered correctly at the time of the breeding.. not after the pups are born, so you will have to contact APR and see if its even possible.

Hi, you would need to get the mother registered with APR, and then your puppies will all be APR registerable. You can not do it the other way around as AKC will NOT accept any other registry as proof of pedigree and you will not be able to get your male registered with AKC, so it's much easier to do it the other way around. Check with the APR and see what you would need to register your female, I would suspect that her AKC papers and pedigree would be sufficient for them to accept her into the registry. Good Luck! =)

The time to find out about registration is BEFORE breeding even takes place not after the puppies are born!!!
The puppies defiantely can NOT be AKC...I would not even bother with APR since they are not a legit registry...the papers from them are worthless..they mean nothing..they don't even mean the dog is purebred.

In the future be responsible.. really research what you are doing before breeding..both dogs should have had and passed genetic health testing (OFA/PennHip, CERF/PRA, Thyroid, etc), had impeccible pedigrees, been registered with legit registries, been shown or evaluated to insure they met the breed standard..

APR is not a legitimate registry, it is used by back yard breeders and puppy millers as a con to make their pups look legit.

AKC is the only real registry in the U.S., and, since the father of the pups you have is not a legit AKC registered dog, you will not be able to register the pups with the AKC.

Why would you do a breeding like this?
Poor pups, what they would be is unregisterable and certianly unshowable. Hope they get neutered and spayed at least and become great pets.

There is NO WAY on the earth that they will be AKC! You will just have to get the mom APR registered and do that for the puppies. It is a crap registry, so you will have no problem doing that.

Probably should have thought about that BEFORE the breeding, huh.

It is pretty sad that you would not have know the registry of the dad before then!!!!! That is pretty critical when planning a breeding!!!!!

They cant be registered AKC because both parents are not registered AKC.APR is just a pet registry where any dog can be registered and AKC is a breed registry where both parents need to be registered in order to register the pups.
