He was doing what people of the US had told Him what they want Him to do.

We told Him we don't want Him in our school.
We told Him we don't want Him in our government.
We told Him we don't want Him in our daily lives.
We told Him we only want Him on Sunday.
We told Him we we only want Him at our convenience.
Tuesday morning September 11th, at 10:30 am we told Him, we needed Him two hours before.

He did what we told Him we wanted, so He left us alone.
Now we have the gall to ask, "Where were you?"

He was very busy checking people in who were murdered by Islam and the failures of the Clinton administration to stop Osama in 1993.
Do you ever stop to think that if more people feared an afterlife of hell and damnation, maybe they wouldn't do whatever the hell they want to? Im sure the guys who beat Matthew Shepard to death were God-fearing christians and not atheistic bigots with an agenda to live life to the fullest here because regardless of how you treat your fellow man, if you get away with it you are in the clear.

To answer the question we need to understand that God does, in fact, weep over every sparrow and grieve over every evil and every suffering. God is with us in all of our suffering, feeling all of our pain. That's what compassion means, to suffer with another.

We understand that God knew what He was doing in creating people with the ability to choose to love Him or hate Him. In order for our love for Him to be real, our choice needed to be real and that means creating creatures that could turn from Him as well as love Him. In order to have creatures with moral freedom, God risked evil choices.

I think that we long for immediate justice. But before we pray too earnestly for immediate justice, we'd better reflect on what that would be like. What would instant justice look like? Immediate justice would have to be applied across the board. That means that every sin would be proportionately and immediately punished. Upon reflection I think we're all quite comfortable with a God that does not apply immediate justice.

The most useful question....is not 'Why did it happen?' but, 'Now that it has happened, what can we do about it?'" This is a question we can and must answer together.

Probably sitting above his throne. Why did GOD let it happen? Well, for reasons beyond my knowing, but despite what you or anyone else thinks, I know GOD has a good reason, maybe beyond our comprehension, but everyone has their dying date already set before they are even born. The question is, were the people that died in 9/11, living as they were ordered to live by their CREATOR. What makes you think this is the best place to be? How do you know if GOD brought them to a much better world or not? This world sucks.

You can't say that because horrifically tragic events happen that this is proof that God does not exist. Evil is parasitic and endemic to reality.

Do you know why God permits evil things to happen?? He allows Satan to show you what evil looks like in the hopes that you will learn to dispise evil. We hate violence, yet we speak words of violence everyday to our children, co workers, neighbors, etc. We crash into people's lives and we destroy them with words and deeds. Yet, on 9/11 we feel we have been wronged, and we have...yet we are hypocrites. We despise what happened on 9/11 yet still do violence in our lives. Shame on us. Where was God on 9/11? He was there helping some survive, giving consolation to some who did not and hoping we all learn from seeing evil taken to its end result. God only knows how many disasters just like this He has stopped. But Satan does EVIL and it must see its conclusion. All actions come to a conclusion and that is a fact of nature.
