No, we did not evolve from Adam and Eve. Supposing they were real, they were sentient humans. Supposing Evolution is true, the would have evolved from something else. We don't know for certain how that all played out. What we do know is that, whether or not it is JUST a metaphor, we can see a great metaphor for life in the story. It may also be a true story, depending on your beliefs, but the metaphor is always there.

Man is always evolving, electronically, scientifically, spiritually, and so on...
Look at history just to see how we evolved through dressing and atire for example, what was considered utterly inapropriate at the turn of the 20th century is all over the place now, just an example.
Our governments have evolved and new legislature establish to fit the common sense of basic human rights, such as they even had to think and consider if women were to be called persons under the constitutions. theres more its all in history... we are still evolving, whether we are headed in the right direction is concerning, the planet is what sustains us and we abuse it horrifically every day, we will all perish if we do not become better stewards within our own circles of this great planet.

If we all came from just two individuals, there would only be 92 different human chromosomes. Actually, if Eve came from Adam, she would be a clone of him (albeit with 2 X chromosomes and no Y chromosome), there would only be 46.
I prefer the term 'metaphor', as believers are sometimes offended by 'fairy story'.

Firstly; the Genesis is a story in the old testament that SOME people chose to take seriously.
Secondly; Darwin's explanation of evolution is approximately correct, but required refinement. The modern evolutionary synthesis is a refinement of Darwin's explanation of evolution. This modern synthesis is currently the most accepted explanation of the "fact" of evolution.
Here is an introduction to evolution:

Genetically speaking there was a specific point in time when the mitochondrial DNA changed and the recipient became a true human. Whether that change was a chance mutation or a special "ZAP" from God, who knows. Since He set up the original shebang in the first place, we might as well call it a "ZAP". We can, however, trace that change back through time but it's gonna lead us to EVE via her sons and daughters. One of those sons we can call Adam.

All men have one commen male ancestor, who is dubbed Adam by scientists, and all women have one commen female ancestor, dubbed Eve. However, Eve evolved thousands of years before Adam.

I believe the Bible. Man was put on Earth by God and woman made from Adam's rib. In school we had to do as expected so we would not fail. That is like the egg and chicken question. I believe the chicken came first. Didn't Noah put a pair of each animal and fowl on the Ark?

We did not "evolve" The Bible says at Gen 1:27 "And God proceeded to create the man in his image, in God’s image he created him; MALE AND FEMALE HE CREATED THEM." Adam and Eve were humans who had intelligence. Even Jesus refers to Adam in the Bible so apparently if Jesus believed in Adam and Eve then it is not just a fictional story.

Adam and Eve were the first humans. Personally, I don't think man evolved because first of all it doesn't make sense. If the world is supposedly getting better and better why do we have so much sickness and war going on around us. Everything no matter what it is breaks or dies.
