I denied there was a hell for quite a few years even though I am a believer.
I finally had to recognize that if there is Heaven there is also hell.
If you find yourself in Heaven you belong there.
If you find yourself in hell you belong there.

First off Ecclesiastes is a back and forth style of writing in which the Preacher is stating what he has thought or experienced and then what he has gathered from based on his wisdom and understanding.
In the following verses the writer explains this to mean that once you're dead it is too late to change the life you lived here and this is wisdom.
We learn that judgment shall be a real thing in chapter 12:
13 Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God will bring every deed into judgment,
including every hidden thing,
whether it is good or evil.

I believe that Hell is a real place. I also believe that Hell is the temporary prison, (a unpleasant solitary holding cell) for all those who die without asking and accepting Jesus Christ, where they await the Great White Throne Judgment before they are sent into The Lake Of Fire for eternity.
I believe that those in Hell have no knowledge of what is going on on Earth after their death, nor what is happening with those who are still living, but that they DO remember their lives, their sins, and those they left behind. Just as the rich man begged God to let Lazarus give him a drop of water from his fingertip to quench his terrible thirst and torment and begged God to let Lazarus go back to Earth to tell his living brothers that if they do not change they will end up in Hell with him.
Yes, I also believe that the physical body dies and remains in the grave, because our physical bodies are mortal, but our spirit and our soul are immortal and will spend eternity in Heaven with Jesus Christ, Almighty God, and all other Christians, or will spend eternity in The Lake Of Fire with Satan, The Anti-Christ, The False Prophet, the demons, and those who refused, ignored, and rejected Jesus Christ.

As we know as christians there is only one judgement the white throne judgement in the book of revelations, and yes there is a place for all to wait until that revelation is fullfilled there are 2 sides of the gulf,it up to us to live the life Christ has taught us to be able to be on the right side.Hell actually doesnt follow until after the final judgement and those will be turned into ashes from within. We are in the last generation and prophecy is being fulfilled daily.God bless you and yours.

I have studied this to my torment for over twenty-five years. There is no possible way that a fallible human being could ever suffer for an eternal suffering in hell fire, simply because we are human and others will tell you that if you don't live up to the expectations of being perfect or you don't believe or even wonder about what this is all about. They should take a good look at their own self rightousness lives and then pass judgement. fu*k that if I have to live for ever with the pri*ks I have had to put with, I would glady live in in hell.

You stated Luke 16:23 In this account the Jerusalem Bible, in a footnote, acknowledges that it is a “parable in story form without reference to any historical personage.” If taken literally, it would mean that those enjoying divine favor could all fit at the bosom of one man, Abraham; that the water on one’s fingertip would not be evaporated by the fire of Hades; that a mere drop of water would bring relief to one suffering there. Does that sound reasonable to you? If it were literal, it would conflict with other parts of the Bible. If the Bible were thus contradictory, would a lover of truth use it as a basis for his faith? But the Bible does not contradict itself.
What does the parable mean? The “rich man” represented the Pharisees. (See verse 14.) The beggar Lazarus represented the common Jewish people who were despised by the Pharisees but who repented and became followers of Jesus. (See Luke 18:11; John 7:49; Matthew 21:31, 32.) Their deaths were also symbolic, representing a change in circumstances. Thus, the formerly despised ones came into a position of divine favor, and the formerly seemingly favored ones were rejected by God, while being tormented by the judgment messages delivered by the ones whom they had despised.—Acts 5:33; 7:54.

It does not matter whether Hell is a real place or not. If it is a place, then it is not a physical location. That's like saying "where" you feel emotion or "where" you go when you are dreaming. We can describe these places but not locate them on the physical plane.
Does it really matter whether Hell exists or not? Is it going to stop you from being moral?

It is not after one dies.... that is referred to, but that while alive one "knows nothing". Knows nothing of who, what, and why one is, in other words.
The Soul only "experiences" the entire Creation via the MIND that is attached to it and its Apapsyche [Operational Energy of the Soul]. The Soul itself is Pure Spiritual Energy just like that of God. Both are composed of what I refer to as "Neutral Spiritual Energy", or NSgy.
To be an Absolute, that is, incapable of changing, the only energy I have discovered capable of that is Neutral Spiritual Energy. The Creation is a projection of God, it is not God per se that is to be found in Creation.
Although "hell" is spoken of in the singular, there are many hells for the many things one may do that are negative and require re-education. After being in a hell for a period of time, the Soul with MIND attached once again rejoins the cycle of birth and death known as "Life".

I am in agreement with you. The Bible, and the very Words of Jesus point to a literal Hell that is eternal, and where the soul is aware.
