Sorry if you're an Aussie and already know this, but January is the most common time for Australians to take holidays.

With school holidays happening you should expect a lot of families at the fun parks.

The weather will be great though.

Ohh, I'd go in July, January is minus 15 with cold winds from the east and ice flurry's. Skiing's good though.

Yes Great time to go, weather will great.
Take a trip down to Byron Bay whilst you are there and a trip to Australia Zoo which is good too.
