Is it relaxing? How do you pray?

Prayer is basically my time to talk to God. Not only does it allow me the chance to share with him the things I'm struggling with, it gives me an opportunity to sort those things out in my head as well.

Even though God already knows what I'm dealing with, not only does it give me the opportunity to show him that I'm turning to him with my problems, I get some self-reflection out of it. Some quiet time to get my thoughts and concerns together.

I also like having the opportunity to say thank you to God!

What is wrong with you? How can you ask a question you should be able to answer yourself? Have you ever tried to pray? I guess you came from a monkey huh?? Do you like to sit around and fling poop at people? What do you get out of believing you came from an ape and when you die your soul does not live on because without a belief in God you have no soul. Skull and Bones that is all you get with your foolish lack of faith.....enjoy your nothingness....

HHHHMMMMM I don't think you answered my 11 question seriously... Your question sounds like your being a smart@ss so you got the same in return.. if you don't like it be sincere next time. I pray because I love Jesus Christ, God Almighty because I appreciate my Creator for my life.
I am sick of nonbelievers trying to push God as imaginary; GOD IS REAL he answers me directly all the time BELIEVE IT!

The same reason that one stays in contact with a friend or a spouse stays close with their spouse...because they love them. I love the Lord, so I pray. Just like any other relationship that you want to blossom, you need to spend quality time together. For a Christian, this is done through prayer, reading God's Word, and living it. Without a good balance of all 3 of these, your relationship will be very weak.

I pray because it nourishes my soul. In a world where you feel no one is listening, I know God is...always. I offer constant prayers throughout the day; some of thanks, some for guidance, some for a soul that needs it. What do I get? His answers; be it wisdom, miracles, peace. Have a Merry Christmas.

I pray to feel close to God. I love Him and want to talk to Him and feel the friendship and closeness of God. I can pour out all my deepest thoughts to Him, and do not have to hold anything back. It helps me to sort out all the thoughts. And God gives me direction in how to deal with things, or gives me renewed strength to be a happier and healthier person.

I pray because it is one of the 5 pillars in Islam. Pray gets me closer to ALLAH(Subhanna wa ta'ala). By praying 5 times a day I'm getting more Ajal. Ajal is like reward. If you don't pray 5 times a day in Islam then you are considered a non Muslim. Praying 5 times a day is what separates the Muslim from the non Muslim. Non Muslims like Christians only pray when they feel like it or only pray once a day so they aren't really close to God(ALLAH). I feel @ peace when I pray.

I pray for myself, my family and for others. I pray that GOD would act on these prayers. If HE doesn't, HE has a good reason. HE is looking out for us.

GOD bless

I pray because it gives me inner peace. I don't even know if anyone is listening but it feels natural to do it.

ok, I pray becuase there is a God up there that listens and helps. You either pray for thanks of wat u got, or help. or even just to tell him wat is going on, even tho he knows wat is going on! (he see everything) People don't think there is enough proof, but over 5oo people saw him when he rose from the dead...so that is proof he is a God...and all of the other "gods" that people talk about r DEAD!!! So they r NOT gods! This one is still alive and still listens to prayers!!! If u want just tell him u will obey watever he says wen u pray...and he will give u something!!!
