This is essentially the same question you asked at

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AonEr3eE88NqphNJfkHyphn0xQt.;_ylv=3?qid=20071209142928AAyBwOF

except that you are using a 37 number wheel instead of a 38 number wheel.

Simply take the answer I gave to the other question and substitute 37 for 38 and 28 for 29 in the equation and you get

x = 1 / ((28 ^ 54 x 9 x 55) / (37 ^ 55))

actually your odds would be 9/37 since you don't have to hit a certain sequence of numbers. You would definitely hit out of 55 spins though. If you had to hit a sequence then your best bet would be to play the lottery

Doesn't a standard roulette wheel in the USA have 38 numbers (0 and 00)?
