Well first of all, fish when fresh should have a sweet fragrant smell, slight of fish. If it smells like fish, it is old. Swordfish is one of the mildest tasting fishes you could eat. Yes I think you would like swordfish. Avoid buying it too thick....about 1/2" thick is about right. Sometimes it is cut 3/4" thick and thicker, and it takes a long time to cook. Rule of thumb is 10 minutes per 1" of thickness. I find that isn't long enough for Swordfish but more like 15-20 min if it is thicker and baking it. Try it BBQ'd for a really great flavor. Can bake it also, with a bit of butter on it and a good sprinkle of Dill Weed....excellent way to eat swordfish. Also, here is my favorite Tartar Sauce....(for those that want to cover up the flavor of the fish)....
Tartar Sauce
1/2 cup mayo
2-3 Tbl of minced onion
1 -2 Tbl of pickle relish (I prefer dill relish, not the sweet)
This is enough for 2 servings, maybe 3
Stir it up and chill until serving time.

sword fish does not really taste like fish. it is very plain so i would cook it with something. it has more of a cod flavour. it taste like it looks...white. it is very firm so it can be cooked on the grill. i would seriously try it.

If you don't like fish then I doubt you would like it. It is a "meatier" type of fish than say a white fish, but it is still fish.

I would stay away from it, personally. Swordfish has one of the highest concentrations of mercury in that you can find in fish.

I would stay away from swordfish. Have you ever seen the foot long parasitic worm that lives in all swordfish? I'll pass.
