its like 6ft long, if i get someone to send it over, its going to cost more than the rod, which i do not want..

im thinking of cutting it into 4 parts? but then how to i put this together? any advice?

whoops, i meant 12 ft when its pushed in together, (6ft x 2)

They make rod tubes that are airline approved and will handle a 6' rod with no problem. Most of them are expandable and can accommodate rods up to 8' in length. "Rod Caddy" is the name that comes to mind, especially since you are talking about 1 rod. They also make them to handle several rods. Most tackle shops will handle them, and some tubes even have the form padding with them. Pack the rod up and you can put it in with the check-in luggage.

You can put it in a tube and ship it yourself to your destination. Check the USPS site and see how much it will cost. Global Priority Mail shouldnt really be that much. If it is you'll have to buy one when you get there.
