Agree, this concept is erroneous and fear tactic.

Personality extinction is more merciful as the victim will never know the difference.

Eternal punishment for the deeds of a few paltry decades does not a loving God make...agree...

The comparison to a parent is a fallacious one. Punishment utilized by a parent is supposed to help give the child an idea of how to better behave in the future, and is for teaching, solely dependent upon the child being given an opportunity to improve behavior based upon that punishment. The comparison only works if God takes you out of "hellfire timeout" when you've learned your lesson...I have not heard much of the eternally damned able to repent at any point once they set foot into Hell, so...how is it a method of teaching, again?

Agreed. It is the MIND of Man whose nature is duality, and operates in the realms of good and bad that would support the "wrath of god" written about in the Bible.

God is an Absolute, and all virtues reside within the realm of God, while the MIND is used by the Soul so that the Soul may explore and experience all the dimensions possible using the projected Energy of God as Creation [which is a stepped down Spiritual Energy].

The MIND allows the Soul [which is only Absolute Love] to explore the dimensions of negativity on the physical plane of existence. God created the MIND to serve the exploration of His Souls, and Creation as the field of exploration... neither of which is Spiritual. In the Creation, only the Soul consists of Spiritual Energy. Spiritual Energy is shared by the Soul and God only.

Peace

The Bible does not teach that God torments people in hellfire

(Jeremiah 7:31) . . . And they have built the high places of To′pheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hin′nom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart. . .

God offers eternal life or eternal death its your choice He wants everyone to have everlasting life, but they choose to live by thier own standards not by his. There's no room for lawlessness in his organization.

But torture is not one of his qualities
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) 5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten.

There is only one God, people interpret God in different names and forms. God is the Origin and Destination of the Universe and is beyond life and death. All religions of world teach human way to get close to God. You give your Best, God will give thy Best. Ask God for help and forgive, God will help and forgive you. Pray; Worship and Thank God for everything. Remember wherever there is Happiness in Life, there will be Sorrow. To get Happiness, you must master Sorrow. For Success in Life; Believe in Self and God, Learn from Past, Concentrate in Present, Plan for Future, and remember ignorance gives failures. Have control on, be the master of, not the slave of your body, senses, and mind. Purpose of this Life is to Improve by Gaining and Sharing utmost Knowledge and Experience to differentiate and choose Best, Right, Good, Truth, God against Worst, Wrong, Bad, Untruth, Devil. Set your Desire level perfect or OK to be brave, no low to be coward, no high to be cruel. You have rights of Survival, Self Defence, and Freedom.

You need to re-ask you question:

"A God Of Love Cannot Be A God Of ETERNAL Hellfire"?

I believe that HE will NOT burn people for all eternity!

Agree

(Jeremiah 32:35) . . .Furthermore, they built the high places of Ba′al that are in the valley of the son of Hin′nom, in order to make their sons and their daughters pass through [the fire] to Mo′lech, a thing that I did not command them, neither did it come up into my heart to do this detestable thing, for the purpose of making Judah sin.. . .

Jer. 7:31: “They [apostate Judeans] have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart.” (If it never came into God’s heart, surely he does not have and use such a thing on a larger scale.)
