No, it's probably that we're lazy!
In this day and age there are no excuses. There is so much information and help available that ignorance is no excuse.
Rather than having a death wish, it's more likely that we think we're invincible. Until something drastic happens to give us a wake-up call, many of us are careless with our health.
It's time to become conscious and start taking care of ourselves!

Not everyone neglects their health & well being but, unfortunately, we live in times where it is easier and common to eat junk food, not exercise enough and think that tomorrow is good enough to start. Also, we live in times where so many people do not have health insurance and it is tragic. I don't thin we as a whole have a death wish, but there is certianly ignorance about health issues.

Most people don't really want to die, so ignorance of health facts and a tendency to think that "bad things" only happen to the other guy accounts for our cavalier attitudes.

we all seem to think the bad stuff will happen to the other guy, therefore the vast majority of people carry on doing things that are bad for us,regardless of the warnings, which goes to show all the cash spent on health warnings is a total waste and should be spent elsewhere.
