I've had a little luck with doing whats called "negatives". After you do the one or two pullups you're capable of, use your legs to jump and assist you for the next one and then focus on spending 10 seconds on the downward motion. I would try and do a few of these negatives the first time and then work your way up to 5 or more after a week or two. This will at least add a couple of reps to your pullups after a while.

keep trying to do them. do as many as you can every other day and in a couple weeks you should start to notice that you can do a little more and a little more and so on. but also, you can grab some dumbbells and start doing some bent over lat rows. look at this page for proper form and motion: http://www.myfit.ca/exercisedatabase/viewanexercise.asp?table=exercises&ID=47
also, you can do lat pullovers which require you to have a bench to lay on and go like this: http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/LatissimusDorsi/BBPullover.html

best wishes:)
