Is this your first pregnancy? Sometimes when a woman has a dog and then becomes pregnant, she becomes worried that the dog will feel left out. This can be what your dog is picking up on. Dogs can sense our feeling through our body language and act different because they know something is different!
Just remember to include your dog in this exciting new experience and you will have a loyal "babysitter" for the life of your dog!

The suggestion of an obedience class is an excellent one. Read here https://tr.im/tHhdO
It will help your dog learn to behave around other dogs, and help keep your training moving forward as you'll want to be prepared for the next class. Also, a good instructor can be a wonderful resource, someone to help you with any questions or concerns about your dog. Leash training can take a LOT of time and patience, depending upon the dog. I'm not sure what you mean by 'horrible on a leash' but my basic suggestion is that you take a lot of yummy treats with you on walks. When your dog behaves well on the leash (not pulling) praise her and give her treats. Change direction a lot so that she learns to pay attention to YOU and where you are going. It's also helpful to teach a "Watch Me" command such that whenever your dog looks at you you praise her and give her a treat. About chewing, yes a Kong is a great chew toy. Some dogs also like Nylabone brand bones. I suggest also teaching a "Leave It" command. You use this when she shows interest in chewing on something she shouldn't. Then immediately give her something she is allowed to chew, such as the Kong stuffed with somethig yummy. This same command will be helpful on walks when she wants to sniff or eat something she shouldn't. Again, when she does leave the item alone, be sure to give lots of praise. I would look into an obedience class right away. I think that you'll find that a good obedience class can help enormously! Good luck and enjoy your new dog.

Hi, most dogs know if your pregnant, there is something in the odour that dogs sense. Try and treat your dog as normal, if he's clinging now because of the pregnancy, you will have to handle him with care when baby comes, usually dogs can get very protetive of a new baby. Good luck for the future to you and your dog.

Dogs do have a sixth sense when it comes to pregnant women, its something to do with all the hormones we let off. shortly after i found out i was pregnant my dog became very clingy and overprotective! She loves people but now if someone comes around she doesnt know she barks and growls if they come close to me or even talk to me. She also wont let me out of her sight...she has to see me wherever i go, even when i go to the bathroom she is either right there staring at me or right outside the door, its kind of annoying i figured she get sick of me stepping on her all the time, oh also if i sit on the floor like indian style she comes up and plops her but right on me and sits on my lap.. .like she wants to be the baby, and for being a lab shes a pretty big baby!s

Dogs do sense things. She probably knows, so make sure you still make a fuss of her when the baby comes, as you don't want a jealous dog. Good luck.

maybe the smell thing... but maybe youve started behaving differently and so youre influencing the dogs behaviour. Or maybe youre focused on the baby and your partner, so the dog feels ignored.
Congratulations!

YES - dogs know when you are pregnant. They know when other dogs in their family are pregnant as well.
Dogs have a 6th sense that we humans do not possess.
It is amazing how astute dogs really are...
