Males have a lotta competion for the ladies hand because one male can "service" many females- unless he has some titles and all the health tests, you may find getting any ladies to stud him to difficult. Kind of like the country song "went to Harvard, majored in premed, stayed one semester - you're out"
IF you do find a "lady" usualy its the value of one pup - so if he's not got much value (they GIVE labs away frequently at the SPCA) then his stud fee will be low if he's a westminster winner whos pups can go for thousands it'll be big....
PS I know of CHAMPIANS who were bred for no stud fee and of cases where the MALE owner payed the Female owner so even if he's titled don't expect to retire on his earnings

The amount you can charge depends on several things.
When you bought the dog, did the purchase price include breeding rights, or was there a non-breeding contract? Most breeders charge more for a dog with breeding rights because the owner may go into competition with them. If you do not have breeding rights, the person who sold you the dog could find out about you breeding it when the breeder tries to register the puppies. Without breeding rights, the puppies cannot be registered, and you could be sued by both the breeder who sold you your dog and the breeder you sold your dog's stud services to.
Does your dog have any champions in its line? The more champions, the more you can charge for stud services. This is particularly true if your dog has won a number of championships.
What is the health history of your dog, its parents, and its grandparents? With some breeds, it is possible to go on line and check this. (Health history is only recorded for show dogs or for dogs from professional breeders. My dog is not a show dog, but I did a health check back for four generations before buying the dog.) Proof of good health in the parents and grand parents increases the price of the stud services.
The final question is, do you insist on cash, or will you take a puppy as a fee? Many breeders allow the person providing the stud to have a puppy as a stud fee. The stud's owner then sells the puppy to recover his fee. You can usually get more this way, but you have to wait until the puppy is at least 8 weeks old, and you have the hassel of selling it, and of keeping an untrained puppy until it is sold.

Based on what you have told us, probably about as much as the payment the "Prom Queen"-quality girls in your district give the guys in your district in return for those lads studding themselves out. About nothing, zilch, zippo.
As some of the answerers have told you, a dog has to be SPECIAL before anyone (well, anyone with at least half a brain still working) is interested in having pups by him, let alone PAYING YOU for your dog's semen. (The dog is, of course, very keen to give it away for free.....)
To prove your dog special involves you in a lot of time and expense.
If you want owners of show bitches to be interested you must get him to shows, and you must get him there in condition to get placed while a puppy and win points towards a show title when he is adult.
If you want owners of field trialling bitches to be interested you must get him to field trials, and get him there so fit & well trained that he gains top scores each time.
Many ****** owners in that breed require BOTH.
In addition, he must have all the "health certificates" appropriate for a Labrador - do you even know what those certificates are attesting to?
Only when those conditions (wins, health certificates) are satisfied does his pedigree become important - intelligent breeders want to check whether he is a fluke or is typical of his ancestors. But until then the pedigree is worthless - if it was the pedigree that was important, every pooch in a litter would be equally superb or equally rubbish.
And you'll find that very few people in the Field Trials are interested in a chocolate Labrador. From 1951 to at least 1970, the US's National Retriever Championship was won by BLACK Labradors on all except 3 occasions .

Please think twice about breeding. You should not be concerned with the amount of money you make....because good breeders only do it to better the breed, and most of them actually lose money in the process.
There are TONS of beautiful labs sitting in shelters right now hoping to find a home. Only a few months ago, I adopted a pure bred, black lab from the pound.

Depends.
What championships does he have? Any field certifications? How are his hips and eyes? Do you have their certs as well? What notable dogs are in his pedigree, since Labs are pretty much a dime a dozen?
In short, what makes YOUR lab so spectacular that someone should choose to breed to him instead of to some other lab?
If the only answer you have is "because he's cute, he's chocolate, he has a set of balls, and we want to make money off him" then get him neutered.

Not very much unless he is an accomplished show dog or hunter. People can get stud service from any purebred lab off the street for free.

If he manages to produces probably 500 and up, if not then nothing. Try to shop around so to speak, if it has a certification or certificate of pure bredness you will probably get a bunch more for the dogs specimes.
