Get comfy clothes on, socks and walking shoes, sunglasses, and get out and walk---start with one hour a day, then go to two. Start with short distances, take a water bottle, and get going.
Walk EVERY DAY, as long as you can.
Your blood pressure will drop like a stone.

It worked for me!

I would guess your medication is not effective and you need to consult your doctor about that. He/she may need to adjust or add new medications. Reducing stress, cutting down on salt, exercise and/or weight loss, not smoking or drinking, and eating a healthy balanced diet might help. How high is high?

ask dr if you can have more medicine. altace is a good medicine. drink a cool bottle of water and sit . take deep breaths / think pleasant thoughts as you drink it / and rest. a ten minute break with a nice cool bottle of water and a time out from the stress has helped me many times. say a prayer too. it calms you / soothes you and can help in times of great stress. you should try to lower your salt in your overall diet. i know this is hard as there is so much sodium / salt in everything we eat. never add salt.
