(For the well-informed: Yes, I know that story is apocryphal, in spite of its inclusion in the Gospels.)

I'm sorry, I'm having a great deal of trouble reading your question what with this giant PLANK in my eye and all.

Probably more often than we should. I work on this daily and do very good now a days. I do see the "Christians" who tell gay people that God hates them because of their sins and the same nuts are at the Abortion clinics screaming at scared teenagers instead of trying to help them. It doesn't show proof of God, but it does give light to some evil in the world.

The point is that Christians need to be more and more aware of this and many other teachings consciously so that we can answer "not anymore" to questions like these. We all need to read the New Testament daily to be fully aware of "The Way". Christianity is much more than going to Church on Sunday and believing in Jesus. The best way to show Jesus your Love is to follow His teachings and by doing that you'll see His Love. It's a journey and working on our actions and building our character to be more Christ-like is the first step.

May God be with those who have a handfull of stones

Peace & Love

As a Christian, not often. When I do, as I probably will, being human and all, I regret it! We do have to think before we speak! Something I pray about often. And again, as Chris has said, when we cite God's word, it is not a judgment; we are merely saying and showing what God has taught us. These are God's rules for holy and healthy living into eternal life. And many times, if you feel someone is casting stones at you, don't build a wall with them; build a road-to eternal life. Maybe it is a conviction of the spirit showing an area in your life that needs work.

As Christians you are absolutely right we can tend to be too judgmental and yes that is casting the first stone. Leave the convicting to the Holy Spirit, our part is to share the good news of the gospel. If asked re a subject then yes we can explain our understanding of it but not in an attacking way.

I am not a stone thrower most of the time.

When I do toss stones, I only used stones made of soft feathers from Mother Goose.

Apparently there are a lot of Christians here who are without sin.

Although that story was included in the Gospels, it's generally accepted as apocryphal. (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

I'm not a Christian, but I try not to instigate conflict if it's avoidable.

Not often, and if I do say something that is wrong I will turn around and apologize. More to ease my consience than anything else.
I try not to throw stones though, they hurt, and I prefer for my recommendations to read "Plays well with others," you know?
That and I want to set a good example for my children.

I never throw stones, had a stroke and can't throw. This question seems kind of like a stone at Christians though.

laws = stones

when Stephen saw Jesus(made under law) standing where it ought not (The LORD said to my Lord: Sit), in the holy place, it notably got him cast out and stoned to death (Acts 7:55)

which things are an allegory, and a mystery to solve in time

more than I can say, I guess, because I am a dirty, rotten sinner, but I am so blessed to have a Saviour that forgives my humanity and weakness, and teaches me how to do better each day than the day before. Peace We are not better than anyone who is not Christian, but we are forgiven and blessed.
